"Gees her room is nicer than ours!"-Brian

After much deliberation, I finally decided to buy the bedding that I really wanted which meant painting the room. I am so glad that I did! I love how the room turned out. I think our little bugga boo is going to love it too. Here is the room before:Would have been cute for a boy, but the blue had to go. Bring on the PINK!
After several days of hard work, (thanks Mom, Dad and Brian) the paint was on the walls and the bedding was in the crib.
Don't you just love it? I think the room turned out better than I pictured. I love my recliner. Brian bought me this for Valentine's Day and it is so comfy.
I have spent a lot of time in this chair already. I am sure there will be a lot of nights spent in this chair. That is why we decided to go with the recliner instead of a rocker. I just wanted something I could realistically sleep in if I had to.

Check out the beautiful afghan Brian's mom made me.
Cathi is so talented. I cannot believe the things she makes. As a side note I think it's worth mentioning that she is blind. It just amazes me what she can do! Thanks Cathi! I absolutely love this blanket.

Hand prints and Foot prints will go here. These are the curtains that I made:
This is the other wall that will have pictures and her blessing dress hanging next to the blanket (also compliments of Cathi).Well that is pretty much it. I can't wait until this little girl is born so we can finish decorating the room with portraits of her. Plus her name will appear somewhere above the crib, which by the way we finally decided on. Of course we are keeping it a secret until she is born!

Well I might as well post a picture of the stroller we got too!
I'm not obsessed at all with Damask print... It's a good thing that Brian likes it too or we might be in trouble since my bathroom and bedroom share this theme. Well I hope you all like the room. I for one, am glad that it is done!

Could it be?

Yup I made it to 32 weeks. It feels great to say that I am EIGHT months pregnant. I think you can get away with a lot more if people know you are in your eighth month. We'll see I guess. I have been feeling really good all things considered. I still throw up a few times a week, but I am just used to it by now. I have been very surprised at how my back has held up. (knock on wood). For those of you that don't know, I have had the pleasure of experiencing 2 back surgeries. The latest was done about 2 years ago and I had to have two vertebrae fused. I was really concerned about getting pregnant because I didn't know how much pain I was going to go through. Well either I have been really lucky or my doctor did his job right because back pain has been among the lowest of my pregnancy complaints! I know I still have 8 weeks, but I am trying to stay positive. One thing that I can't get enough of is:
Give it to me mashed, baked, in a salad or soup and I will be one happy girl! I liked potatoes before I got pregnant, but I have to say it is one of the things I crave a lot lately. I made Brian take me to Paradise Cafe last night because I ate there a couple of days ago and they had this AMAZING Potato Soup. I was so disappointed because they weren't selling it last night! I guess I just need to get a recipe so that I can satisfy this little craving. Funny story about my love for potatoes while I am on the subject... We were eating dinner at my parents' house a few months back and they had mashed potatoes and gravy. Well I was in heaven obviously and had about 3 servings during dinner. Well after everyone was done eating there was still one very large serving of potatoes left. I decided to go against all reason and engulfed the last of the potatoes. Well I guess it was too much for my belly to handle because shortly after I was in the bathroom experiencing potatoes like I never wanted to experience. I will just say they have an interesting texture coming back up... Well you would think that after that, my love for potatoes would at least dwindle to a "like". Nope, I still crave them more than ever! Well only 2 more months of this crazy ride.

Practice makes perfect?

I have really had my eye on some of these lately: One of my friends recently had a baby and has started crocheting little flowers to put on her headbands. I absolutely fell in love with the idea. There is one problem though. I SUCK at crocheting. I don't know what the deal is, but I just can't seem to grasp the technique. It is VERY frustrating for me. I have spent the last 2 hours reading a beginners manual and watching You tube videos and I end up with something like this: Although I must say, I am able to do a basic chain pretty well now. But seriously how can you learn from the videos and books? The videos are too hard to see what they are doing and the books say things like, "Ch 5 work 7 times in ring, join with a slip st to third ch..." I am sure for those of you that crochet, that is very easy to understand, but I just don't get it. I am determined to figure this out though. You'll see...
