Opinions Please

I am trying to pick out bedding for the nursery and I am having a hard time making a decision. I have narrowed it down to two :) I really wanted to make the bedding, but fabric is sooo expensive and I haven't been able to find the exact fabric that I want. Plus there is all that work involved. This is what the room looks like now:My original plan was to go with bedding that wouldn't require me painting the room. I did this room a few months back and I love the way it turned out. I really don't want to paint it again.

I like this one, but it would require painting the room. Plus it is a lot cheaper.
This is my favorite. It is exacty what I envisioned when I was planning on making it myself. The only problem is, it is custom made which = very expensive$. I guess its not too bad considering some of the sets I have seen for over 300$, but we don't even have bedding in our bedroom that is as expensive as this set.
The think I like about this set is that you can change the fabric color if you want like this:
Anyway, help me decide! Which one, which one? Paint the room? Spend more money?

Now I can't really tell what color the walls are now? Is it a grayish color? There are ways to make that work by finding wall art that has the pink or turquoise of the bedding along with the exsisting wall color. I found cute art work online and printed it out and put it in frames that I found at dollar stores and at DI and then painted the frames varying shades of the wall color and the bedding.
You could also do a wall stencil or just paint a stripe along the top wall that matches the bedding. I like the randomness... you don't want to be too matchy matchy. So find your dream bedding and make it work! Good luck... I want to see pics.

What you need to think about is are you using the same theme for baby #2? Nurseries can be expensive and unless you are gender specific each time... something neutral w/splashes of boy/girl spattered here and there will be just as effective. You can interchange colors for each baby with your neutral color (such as the black). Get wood letters for her name, paint, and tie each with ribbon and hang on the wall.

Crib safety is the big concern... paint is cheap and makes such a difference. The wainscoating is a cute and fresh-looking idea. You want cute, warm, and peaceful.

With 6 children, I never had a nursery, but they did just fine. Have fun...she's almost here!

Oh I love both of them! So cute!!!! I would say go with the gender neutral one! Unless you have someone buying it for you! :) My parents bought us both of ours, and it is fun to have one for each gender, but they can get expensive!

On my goodness... this is so exciting! I would say paint the room and go with the cheaper, but still incredibly cute bedding. If you want, I would love to help paint (I can only imagine how fun painting is while pregnant!) Whatever you do, I know it will turn out great... you are so artistic and cute, so I know it will be awesome!

I love the pink and black, I was going to do that if this baby was a girl. I found a set that I loved on ebay for under $60. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300373641613&refid=store
Good luck!
