Now guess who is impatient?
Yup you guessed it. ME! I am doing my best to stay positive and have the attitude of "she'll come when she is ready", but as each doctor's visit comes and goes, I am struggling. Today I went to the doctor not expecting much of a change from last week. I feel exactly the same as last week-like nothing is happening. Well the doctor confirmed that indeed nothing is really happening. I am dialated to a two now which is progress but he could barely feel the baby's head because she is so high. I swear she is confused where the exit is. I keep telling her she is going the wrong way because every day she feels like she is getting higher and higher! I wanted him to strip my membranes, but he told me that he wanted to wait another week to see if she drops a little. Another week? I will be like 3 days away from my due date! Urgh. After all the pleasantries I dive into the induction conversation. When can we get this little girl out?!? Apparently Intermountain Healthcare has a policy that doesn't allow inductions for first time moms until they are a week over due. Umm I think I know what I will be investigating at work tomorrow. I cannot believe that they would make someone suffer for a week past their due date. Besides my last day is supposed to be the 16th and I really don't want to sit around for a week while I don't go into labor. This little girl is definitely her daddy's daughter. She is strong willed and she is going to make sure that she is born when it is her idea. I just hope she is not too stubborn, I'm dying here. Any suggestions on how to get her to drop? If I could at least get her out of my ribs I would be a lot more comfortable to do this for a couple more weeks.

Goodness gracious!!!! Doesn't she know it's so much more fun on the outside!!! Stubborn little girl! And IHC is evil (although I really want to work for them.... hahahah!!) A full week is hard so hopefully that won't happen. Let's pray that she drops soon so we can play with her!! My fingers are crossed!
oh Kellie I feel for you. I won't even tell you how late Tori was before they induced. The good news is that it won't last forever...but I know it sure feels like it!!!!
End of pregnancy is the worst! Don't get too discouraged. She'll be out soon enough. Keep your blog updated so I can know when she comes!
I did a lot of walking and a lot of sitting and lightly bouncing on my big exercise ball. I'm not sure how well it worked though, because I still had to be induced at 10 days past my due date! Find a craft or a project to get involved in to take your mind of it! Or go get some seasons of TV shows to get absorbed in. Good luck!
I know how you feel. The last month is so hard. I was induced 2 weeks early because I had really high blood pressure, I was really swollen and signs of toxemia. But I would not wish being induced on anybody. It was not fun. I hope she comes soon though so that you can just enjoy being a mom. God Luck!
LOL Good luck Kellie! I was in the same exact situation and I tried almost EVERYTHING to get my little one born. I guess they just come when they are ready, I finally had to get induced though so good luck! I hope she comes soon!
I have heard that, in reality, the due date can be off by as much as three weeks. So if a baby is induced a week before the due date, the baby could potentially be a premature birth. Congrates on the new baby - life completely changes when the new one arrives; no more going where you want when you want.
I dont have any tricks of getting them to cooperate. I'm always doing the opposite and trying to keep them in for a few more weeks. The only thing I can tell you is to be grateful your little one is cooking as long as she is. Its better to have a baby and actually be able to hold it after and not have to look at it through an incubator!! Hang in there girl!
I'm so sorry. Hang in there.
With Isaac I went a week over due. He did not want to come on his own. I only dialated to a one. I tried everything and nothing worked. So I don't know what to tell ya. My friend went 2 weeks over. So don't feel too bad.
