Think Positively

So it has been a couple of weeks since I have posted, but I really didn't want to rain negativity in the air. I will be brief, but I do want to mention my last two glorious weeks of work.

We got an upgraded PACS system recently at the hospital...
It has not had a single problem...
It has been just a minor adjustment for everyone...Ok so maybe the biggest thing to happen to us all year!
Computers are my best friend right now...

Well in case you couldn't catch the sarcasm in my tone, I will just enlighten you. The past couple of weeks have been absolutely maddenning crazy! I don't think I fully appreciated the people that did my job that I have now back when I was a Xray tech. There is so much that goes into getting a new PACS System. What is a PACS system you say? Well it is a fabulous system that allows all the diagnostic images of patients in a healthcare setting to be archived and viewed. If you are looking for more information-cause I know you are dying to know- just follow the link above. Anyway, it has been such a crazy ride. Imagine having a physician ask you why something on the computer that should normally work, and up until this point has worked, all the sudden does not work. Plus I need to fix it immediately because it is urgent. Whew talk about pressure! I have learned so much about my job and I feel like I have gained 10 years of experience in just a couple of short- um did I just say short? I meant LLLLOOOOONNNNNGGGGG- weeks. Thankfully I have a supportive husband, who hasn't minded the 20 hours a week of overtime, and wonderful coworkers. Everyone has been so patient with me and kind. I feel lucky to work with such great people. It makes this otherwise stressful experience bearable. Anyway, that it what I have been up to lately. Hopefully, my next post will include lots of pictures of fourwheeling. I am dying to get out there and ride!
