I have really had my eye on some of these lately:
One of my friends recently had a baby and has started crocheting little flowers to put on her headbands. I absolutely fell in love with the idea. There is one problem though. I SUCK at crocheting. I don't know what the deal is, but I just can't seem to grasp the technique. It is VERY frustrating for me. I have spent the last 2 hours reading a beginners manual and watching You tube videos and I end up with something like this:
Although I must say, I am able to do a basic chain pretty well now. But seriously how can you learn from the videos and books? The videos are too hard to see what they are doing and the books say things like, "Ch 5 work 7 times in ring, join with a slip st to third ch..." I am sure for those of you that crochet, that is very easy to understand, but I just don't get it. I am determined to figure this out though. You'll see...

Ummm. Hello! I crochet - this is the one actual crafty, domestic thing I know how to do. I will teach you! Come see me once in a while and we'll make some. -Ky :)
