What Saturdays are For

This weekend has been especially nice and somewhat relaxing. I have spent the past couple of weeks in Richfield for work and it was so nice to finally be home! Being 3 hours away and pregnant..not the best experience I've ever had. Brian and I started off the day by heading to Target and Babies R Us. Yup folks, we are finally registered! I am going to have to go online and add a few more items. I sort of lost patience in Babies R Us and didn't finish registering. I mean do they really need to give you the 30 minute spill about how to register? Just give me the bar code scanner and send me on my way already!
Once we got home I got to work on a few of my projects that I have been putting off. Here it is 11:30 at night and all I have to show for my Saturday are these two projects.

The first one I worked on was a Car Seat Canopy. I could not believe how incredibly EASY this was to make. Anyone who goes out and spends 30-40 dollars on one of these is CRAZY! I think it turned out so cute. I am a little bit obsessed with black and pink. Can ya tell by seeing the blanket that I made in the background? Notice the nursery is still blue. It won't be for long! The bedding set should be coming in the mail this week and I cannot wait to get the room finished! That will be next weekend's project...
The second project was not as easy as the first. Since I have started being a little obsessed with bows and girlie things, I have struggled to find a way to store them. I tried putting them in a basket and the bows would get all smashed and messed up. I came up with this little wall hanging to do the trick.
Notice how I am already running out of room to hang the bows on. Did I mention I was obsessed? I guess this will control my obsession. Once I run out of room on the fabric strips, I will have to stop making so many hair accessories!Well to finish up the post I have to put this picture up. Such a silly boy, he makes me laugh! I hope everyone had as nice of a weekend as we did. Oh and don't forget to vote for a name on the right side of my blog page. We need all the help we can get naming our little one!

Way to go Kel! The carseat cover is so cute! I love the little bows at the top. I'm so glad you went and registered because I'm running out of ideas of things to get for you and little baby Anderson. She's just about set!

AWESOME! I love crafty days!
Are you making her birth announcements? If so, my advice to you would be make them before she gets here cause you won't have the time and energy... TRUST! :)
That car canopy is sweeeeet. I wish I had one - I only had a stupid blanket and I used it ALL the time.

Very, Very Cute!!!! I wish I had one of those for my kids, but since I am done...will have to wait for the grandkids:) The bows are really cute also. Good job getting it all done before she comes, there won't be much time after:)

Very cute! She's a lucky little girl. You'll be such a good mom. The sleep thing will be a little hard at first...but when you hold her, you'll melt. Important thing...don't get frustrated. This is your first time as a mom and her first time as a baby, you'll both do fine!
Love the colors!
